Roemel Brown is the editor of the Milwaukee Courier, bringing deep Milwaukee roots and a diverse professional background to his journalism career. Raised in Wisconsin, California, and Minnesota, he graduated from the Milwaukee Public School system and attended both UW-Stout and UW-Milwaukee. With experience spanning banking and politics, he found his calling in journalism, where he draws on the wide-ranging skills and perspectives gained throughout his career.

Robert "Biko" Baker III, Ph.D. (UCLA, History), works at the intersection of culture, tech, and public engagement. A former contributor to The Source and Vibe, he later served as national executive director of the League of Young Voters, leading high-profile civic campaigns and collaborations, including the launch of No Guns Allowed with Snoop Dogg and Ron Conway. He has advised and served on boards for organizations including CIRCLE at Tufts and Sankofa.org, and was named to the NAACP’s “40 Under 40.” Biko is currently Operations Manager for WNOV 860AM/106.5FM and the Milwaukee Courier Newspaper.

Drake Bentley is the general assignment reporter for the Milwaukee Courier, covering politics, sports and the community. He is an award-winning investigative journalist who has worked for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin State Journal, Newsweek, Heavy and The Sporting News. He is a northside Milwaukee native, former political staffer and graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the University of Nebraska.

Karen Stokes is a Milwaukee-based freelance journalist with more than 16 years of experience reporting on local and national politics, as well as community interest stories that highlight culture, social issues, and civic engagement for local, regional, and national publications.

For 30 years, Carmen has been a Sales Professional in the LGBTQ, Latino and Black Press because she believes in the power of building relationships through the "original" media outlet to ignite, engage, inform, educate, entertain and touch the lives of everyone who holds the newspaper with a sense of pride.

Michelle Bryant is host of “Say Something Real with Michelle Bryant,” a morning drive political talk program on WNOV 860AM/106.5FM. She is a political strategist, president of CMB Consulting & Associates, and a weekly columnist for the Milwaukee Courier Newspaper. A former Chief of Staff in the Wisconsin State Legislature—where she also served as Budget and Policy Director and Clerk of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety—Bryant brings decades of experience in legislative leadership, campaign management, and public policy. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a longtime advocate for civic engagement and equity.
